FAQ

Absolutely. This is a dedicated triple display docking station designed for users who need expansive screen real estate. As a powerful multi monitor docking station, it supports three external monitors simultaneously—one at up to 8K resolution via the DP outputs plus two additional 4K resolution displays through its two HDMI outputs. This makes it ideal for traders, developers, content creators, and anyone managing complex workflows where multiple screens dramatically improve productivity and multitasking efficiency. DisplayLink technology enables this capability even on MacBooks.
A DisplayLink docking station uses a specialized chip that compresses video data and transmits it over a standard USB data connection to the dock, where it's then decompressed and output to your monitors. This clever technology bypasses the GPU's inherent display count limitations, making it the ultimate multi display MacBook dock solution. Note that full multi-display functionality on both macOS and Windows requires installing the free DisplayLink driver. Simply download the DisplayLink Manager app to unlock your setup’s full potential.
Yes, this is a true powered docking station that excels at simultaneous charging and connectivity. As a high performance docking station, it delivers up to 140W upstream charging to your laptop via PD 3.1, while concurrently powering front USB-C ports at 100W each and running your monitors, Ethernet, and all peripherals. The built-in 160W total power budget with smart distribution ensures every connected device receives optimal power. For maximum 140W laptop charging, ensure your laptop supports PD 3.1 and connect no more than one device to the front USB-C ports.
Yes, this is a universal docking station for MacBook and Windows laptops. As a versatile laptop docking station, it's compatible with Windows 10/11 and macOS 13.5 or later, including MacBook models with M series chips. For macOS, the DisplayLink Manager app requires screen recording permission to enable extended displays—Synaptics confirms no data or images are ever recorded or saved. Windows users can download the DisplayLink driver for multi-monitor support. Both platforms benefit from the Anker Dock Manager for advanced settings and firmware updates.

Looks like fantastic quality - love to use it some day - right now I don't have several monitors, but when I heard about the product, I felt it is a 'must have' :)

Timer

There should be timer to Manage your Workflow. Example, it would be great if you could put timer for 50 minutes to work and then 10 minutes for break. Or if you could put reminder to make call after 150 minutes. Keep it simple. Few basic features as work, break, make a call or some other task and then just minute timer for deadline. Even better if you could put few timer simultaneously.

Other than that. It’s a great device.

Underwhelming

First, the SD card slot is installed upside down. Not huge once you know, but frustrating up until then. Alienware laptops hate this thing. Sleep is now useless. I really feel like everything underestimates the importance of USB-A. There are never enough slots. That's why I began looking for a hub. I very quickly ran out of USB-A slots with 2 slots for mouse and 1 for UPS, everything else is back to being plugged and unplugged directly from the machine. There are tons of peripherals still being produced requiring a USB-A comm. port. The charger is fast and data transfer lacks nothing that I can tell. The form factor is nice, but I do wish the cable was about a foot longer. A better more capable interface would be appreciable as well. While the screen is handy for some stuff, all PC peripherals should have a capable interface users can access on their machine. Overall, It does 90% of what I was hoping to use it for and it does it well.

Perfect MacBook Air upgrade!

Very cool hub. I use it on my MacBook Air with a 27”flat and 34” curved Alienware monitors both running 1440 resolutions running 144 and 120 hz. respectively. It’s very reliable and responsive, I just mount my laptop under my desk and forget it’s there now. Perfect upgrade.
